Overview
Life at uni starts here
There’s more to university than just lectures, tutorials and labs. The Uni Ready Enabling Program allows you to experience campus life at Australia’s leading University while preparing to thrive in your future degree.
From day one, you’ll be supported to take your first step into uni life, joining a cohort of like-minded students who are as ambitious, curious and ready to get started as you are.
Feel supported from the start
Starting university is a big step, but you won’t be doing it alone. This program is designed to help you feel confident and capable, inside and outside the classroom. Whether it’s academic support, wellbeing services, or advice on navigating your next steps, we’re here to help you succeed.
Before classes begin, you’ll participate in orientation activities where you’ll meet others enrolling in the Enabling Program. You’ll also attend introductory sessions and access course planning and advice to prepare you for starting uni. To support you during the semester, you’ll get access to academic skills resources designed to help you build university-ready study habits from day one.
Academic and wellbeing support
You will be assigned an academic mentor specific to your Science or Commerce pathway. Your mentor will guide you through your transition to university life and help you succeed in your studies. Throughout the program, you’ll have access to academic skills and in-subject support.
The mathematics component will be delivered exclusively to students in the Enabling Program. You will also have access to the health, counselling, and financial aid services available at the University of Melbourne to support your wellbeing while you study.
Study in the heart of Melbourne
You’ll study at our vibrant Parkville campus, just a short walk from the centre of the city. You’ll be part of a close-knit student community with access to world-class facilities, libraries, green spaces, cafes and more.
Connect with your community
The program is about more than getting into a degree—it’s about finding your place. You’ll participate in cohort-specific activities designed to help you settle in, meet other students in the Enabling Program, and feel at home at uni. Students in the program will have access to student clubs, societies, and co-curricular opportunities.
