A guide to entry scores for Taiwan Senior High School Diploma / Senior High School Graduation Certificate (高級中學畢業證書)

Taiwan Senior High School Diploma students can meet the requirements for direct entry by:

  1. Graduating from the Taiwan Senior High School Diploma, achieving the indicative GPA and meeting indicative Taiwan GSAT score OR
  2. Graduating from the Taiwan Senior High School Diploma, achieving the indicative GPA and meeting indicative GPA and achieve the required SAT/ACT or AP aggregate score OR
  3. Completing the Trinity College Foundations Studies pathway program and meeting the minimum entry score.

All applicants must have completed any course prerequisite subjects and meet English language requirements.

One of the four subjects included in the calculation must include English for admission to all UG programs. Total score must include Mathematics for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Biomedicine, and Bachelor of Science.

SAT scores are for the composite score from Evidence-based Reading and Writing, and Mathematics. ACT scores are for the composite score of the English, mathematics, reading, and science sections. The ACT writing section is not considered. The University does not accept super score SAT and ACT test results. Admission is based on the highest composite score. SAT and ACT test results are valid for two years.

PREREQUISITES

English language requirement: 

The University’s English language requirement can be met by:

  • Achieving the required score in an English language test approved by the University, or
  • Achieving a score of 3 or higher in the:
  • AP English Language and Composition, or
  • AP English Literature and Composition

Mathematics prerequisite: 

Mathematics prerequisite can be met by:

  • Successfully completing Year 12 Maths A subject to meet Maths prerequisite for the Bachelor of Agriculture, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Commerce, or Bachelor of Biomedicine, or
  • Successfully completing Year 12 Maths B subject to meet Maths prerequisite for the Bachelor of Agriculture, or
  • Achieving a score of 50% or higher in the Calculus and Probability Online course, or
  • Achieving a score of 3 or higher in the:
  • AP Calculus AB, or
  • AP Calculus BC

Lab science prerequisite: 

Lab science prerequisite can be met by:

  • Achieving a score of 3 or higher in the:
  • AP Chemistry, or
  • AP Biology, or
  • AP Physics 1 and 2, or AP Physics 1 and AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism, or AP Physics C: Mechanics and AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism
