Once you’ve registered you'll have access to the Open Day event planner. This is where you'll find the full program of experiences, including expos, information sessions, exhibitions, tours and more.

You can use your UniMelb Account login anytime to access the event planner, including the interactive maps. View all sessions and use the filter and search options to explore what's on and add (+) sessions to create a personalised schedule for your Open Day. You can also filter for sessions with wheelchair access and hearing loops.

Everyone is welcome at Open Day 2026, especially prospective students and parents.

It's an opportunity to discover university life for yourself, explore our campuses, meet staff and students and learn more about your study options. No matter your high school year level, or even if you're interested in graduate study, we encourage you to come along and experience our Melbourne community with your family and friends.

Open Day 2026 is from 10am to 4pm on Sunday 16 August.

When you register for Open Day you will receive a confirmation email – use the link in this email to log back into the event planner at any time and view or modify your schedule. Or you can log in directly to the Open Day event planner.

You can reset your password from the UniMelb Account log in page. Click ‘forgot password’ and enter your email address to allow you to reset your password.

You can visit both the Parkville and Southbank campuses on Open Day. Each campus has a program of activities to experience, so it’s worth planning which sessions and spaces you most want to see.

Parkville campus, Grattan Street, Parkville, Victoria 3010Parkville is the University of Melbourne’s historic main campus, founded in 1853. The precinct is built around the Old Quadrangle and mixes heritage buildings with contemporary architecture. It sits within easy walking distance of central Melbourne and hosts the majority of the University’s faculties and research centres.

At Open Day you can expect:

  • Information sessions covering agricultural and veterinary sciences, architecture, building, planning and design, arts, humanities and social sciences, business and economics, education, engineering, environment, health, information technology and computer science, law and science study areas
  • Lab and research demonstrations, hands-on activities and subject taster sessions
  • Guided campus walks highlighting key buildings, libraries and study spaces as well as accommodation tours
  • Opportunities to meet academic staff, current students and professional support teams.
Southbank campus, 234 St Kilda Road, Southbank VIC 3006Southbank is the home of the University’s creative schools, including the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music and the Victorian College of the Arts. Located in Melbourne’s Arts Precinct, Southbank brings together performance venues, studios, galleries and specialist facilities.
At Open Day you can expect:
  • Information sessions covering music, visual and performing arts study areas
  • Studio and rehearsal room tours, instrument and ensemble demonstrations
  • Live performances, exhibition walk-throughs and short masterclasses
  • Practical workshops in visual arts, theatre, film and music composition
  • Talks about industry connections, professional practice and pathways into creative careers
  • Conversations with teaching staff, performers and current creative students.
