A guide to entry scores for the Brazil National High School Exam - Exame Nacional do Ensino Medio (ENEM)
Minimum entry requirements for international students
To be considered for an offer, you must:
- Successfully complete your secondary school qualification
- Achieve at least the minimum entry score listed below for your preferred undergraduate degree
- Meet subject prerequisites, including required grades in specific subjects
- Satisfy the University’s English language requirements
- Submit an online application direct to the University or through an authorised education agent.
If you don’t meet these requirements, alternative pathways may be available, including undertaking the Trinity College Foundation Studies program or other approved ways to satisfy subject prerequisites.
Domestic students studying overseas
Domestic students studying overseas (Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents and New Zealand citizens) must apply through Victoria Tertiary Admission Centre (VTAC). The scores listed here should be considered a minimum score to be eligible for a place in that course. The actual standard required may be higher depending on the demand for the course and the number of Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP) available.
Important information about this qualification
If you are studying the Brazil National High School Exam, you must: complete the national secondary school qualification in Brazil or a recognised international qualification, and achieve the required result on the Exame Nacional do Ensino Medio (ENEM), and achieve the minimum AP exams aggregate score OR achieve the minimum SAT/ACT test score (options are listed below), and complete the course prerequisites:
- Biology: successful completion of the BNCC Biology subject (within the Diploma/Certificado de Ensino Médio) (for Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Oral Health).
- Chemistry: successful completion of the BNCC Chemistry subject (within the Diploma/Certificado de Ensino Médio) (for Bachelor of Biomedicine and Bachelor of Science).
- Mathematics: Mathematics subjects available within the national secondary school qualification in Brazil are not approved to meet the mathematics course prerequisite. Students can satisfy the mathematics prerequisites in any of the methods outlined here and below.
- There are a range of other approved options to satisfy prerequisites including: completion of an approved online subject (for example, the University of Melbourne’s Calculus and Probability Online, UniLearn Biology or UniLearn Chemistry), completion of single Advanced Placement (AP) exam, or completion of a single approved IB Diploma or A Level subject (including the final exam).
- The double Mathematics prerequisite for admission to the Bachelor of Science can be met with completion of both AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC.
