Find an authorised education agent
You can apply for study and manage your application directly with the University. You can also get assistance from a University of Melbourne authorised agent in your country*.
Our authorised education agents can help you find a course that’s right for you, lodge an application, accept your offer, and provide you with information relating to living in Australia and visa requirements.
If you decide to use an education agent, here’s some information about the assistance and services they can provide, what fees you may incur and which Australian laws protect you when you engage an authorised education agent:
Who needs to apply through an authorised education agent?
Applicants who have studied in certain countries are required to apply through an agent to have their documents verified.
- International graduate applicants who have studied in Pakistan are required to apply through one of our authorised education agents so that transcripts can be verified. Undergraduate or domestic applicants will have transcripts verified through other methods.
- International applicants who have studied in China can either apply through an authorised education agent or share their academic transcripts using the centre for Student Services and Development (CSSD) (formerly known as CHESICC).
- International applicants who have studied in India are required to apply through one of our authorised education agents.
For more information, visit the guide to your online application.
Applicants who have studied in other countries may also choose to use an authorised education agent.
Who can provide assistance?
- The authorised education agents you can use are listed by country and city below. All the services you receive must be delivered by the staff in these agencies.
- However, if there is no authorised agent listed for your country, you may use one listed in a neighbouring country/region (from the provided list) to assist you with your application.
- The University will not liaise with any other education agents or migration agents acting on your behalf.
- You can only use one authorised education agent at a time.
What services do they provide?
- Our education agents can provide a range of services to help you with your application process.
- Their responsibilities include providing you with information relating to: the University and its facilities; the courses offered, course fees and refund conditions; living in Australia and the local environment; information about our campus location and costs of living; visa requirements; the educational qualifications and any other criteria required for acceptance into a course (such as the English language requirements).
Are there fees and charges for using an authorised education agent?
- Some education agents may charge fees on top of the University’s application fee for some services.
- Make sure you ask your education agent about all of their fees and charges before agreeing to use their services.
What can I do if I'm having issues with my authorised education agent?
