If you don't yet meet the English language requirements for your course, the University of Melbourne English Language Bridging Program (UMELBP) or other pathway options may be available.

When you apply to the University you will be automatically considered for most of our scholarships; others you'll need to apply for directly. Some are awarded on the basis of academic merit and others are designed to help you with your expenses.

The University accepts IELTS, TOEFL and PTE Academic, among other tests. Required scores vary by course — check the Entry requirements tab on your course page for specifics. If you don’t yet meet the requirements, the University of Melbourne English Language Bridging Program (UMELBP) or other pathway options may be available.

The University offers a range of scholarships for international students from India, including merit-based awards, faculty-specific scholarships and the Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship. Most are assessed automatically when you apply for your course; others require a separate application.
