Vietnamese High School Graduation Certificate
The University of Melbourne is Australia’s leading public research university, attracting more than 60,000 students from 160 countries each year. Established in 1853, it has grown to become an international leader in research, learning and teaching.
Melbourne is one of the safest and friendliest cities in the world to live, work and study. Many of our 500 Vietnamese students get involved in our great community by joining student clubs, participating in music, cultural and sporting events, or indulging in the array of international cuisines. There is a large Vietnamese community in Melbourne, so you can feel assured that you will feel at home.
Your prior high school studies will determine if you're eligible for direct entry into an undergraduate degree or will need to first complete a foundation program.
Whether you're a new or current student, you could be eligible for a number of merit-based scholarships of A$10,000 or more for both types of entry.
We have increased the number of available international student scholarships as part of our commitment to supporting our global student community, diversity and growing future global citizens and leaders.
Direct entry into an undergraduate degree
We accept the International Baccalaureate, A levels and US High School Diplomas curriculum. We also accept students who graduate with a National High School Graduation Certificate (Bang Tot Ngiep Trung hoc Pho thong) from an approved gifted high school. Students must achieve the minimum overall GPA in Year 12, have completed any course prerequisite subjects and meet English language requirements to be eligible for direct entry into an undergraduate degree.
Foundation studies pathway
For students who do not attend one of the approved gifted high schools or those students who do not wish to complete Year 12 in Vietnam, Trinity College Foundation Studies (TCFS) is our preferred foundation studies program and pathway for international students seeking entry into a Melbourne undergraduate degree.
Trinity College is an affiliated residential college and pathway school of the University of Melbourne.
