  1. I have provisional registration with AHPRA, can I apply?
    Applicants need to hold General registration as a psychologist with AHPRA to be considered for entry into the course. Provisional registration is not sufficient.
  2. I have results in 2020, what adjustments have been made when calculating the entry score?

    This depends on your circumstances. More information on the entry score adjustments have been published on the MSPS Adjustments for 2020 results website.

  3. What if I don't yet have my final results by the application closing date?

    If you will be completing studies in 2022 , we must receive your results for Semester 1. Please send a copy of your latest transcript and planned enrolment (including key grading scale) by the application deadline. If your Semester 1 results will not be available before the application deadline, please submit your application with an unofficial academic transcript. Late applications will not be accepted.

    Note: Your application will not be assessed until we receive official academic transcripts and any other required official documentation.

    University of Melbourne students are not required to submit official UOM transcripts as staff can access them from the student system.

  4. The online application refers to ‘Additional requirements, what are these?

    Applicants are responsible for asking two referees to complete referee reports which are to be submitted online by the application closing date (see above). At least one referee report must be completed by an academic staff member. The second referee report may be completed by academic staff members or by registered clinicians.

  5. I have completed my qualification outside of Australia, can I still apply?

    Applicants who have obtained their qualifications outside of Australia are eligible to apply but must provide confirmation of completion of an Australian Psychological Accreditation Council (APAC) undergraduate sequence in Psychology which can be requested from the Australian Psychological Society (APS), national assessing authority in Australia for the assessment of academic qualifications in psychology.

    This must be uploaded to your online application as soon as possible and no later than the application date. More information on APS assessment.

  6. Can I defer my offer?

    Deferrals are not granted for this course.

  7. Can I apply to study part-time?

    The Graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology is only offered as a part-time course over two years. Full-time study is not available.

  8. I have completed or will complete my study with an accredited Master of Clinical Neuropsychology, or an accredited Master of Professional Psychology qualification at the University of Melbourne. Do I have to provide evidence of completion/imminent completion as part of my application?

No as this will be checked internally against the requirements as part of the selection process.
