A guide to entry scores for the French Baccalaureat
To be eligible to be considered for an offer, students who have completed the French Baccalaureat need to:
- achieve the required result in the French Baccalaureat, and
- satisfy the course prerequisites (by achieving the required scores in the approved prerequisite subjects), and
- satisfy the English language requirements.

English language requirements
Students must meet the University’s English language requirements by achieving the required score in an approved English language test, or through another accepted qualification.

Subject prerequisites
The following subjects meet the University’s prerequisite requirements for students completing the French Baccalaureat:
Mathematics prerequisite
- Mathematics as a Specialisation or Complementary Mathematics at Year 12, or
- An approved alternative pathway listed on the How to satisfy subject prerequisites page.
Double Mathematics (Bachelor of Science only)
- Completion of both Mathematics as a Specialisation and Expert Mathematics. These subjects also meet the prerequisites for MAST10006 and MAST10007.
Biology prerequisite
- Life and Earth Sciences at Year 12, or
- An approved alternative pathway listed on the How to satisfy subject prerequisites page.
Chemistry prerequisite
- Physics-Chemistry at Year 12, or
- Meeting one of the approved options listed on the How to satisfy subject prerequisites page.
Physics prerequisite
- Physics-Chemistry at Year 12, or
- Meeting one of the approved options listed on the How to satisfy subject prerequisites page.

1. Bachelor of Design – Mathematics requirement. The following majors require completion of secondary school mathematics: Civil Engineering Systems, Computing, Construction, Mechanical Engineering Systems, Property, and Digital Infrastructure Engineering Systems.
2. Bachelor of Fine Arts. A range of criteria is used for selection into the Bachelor of Fine Arts (all specialisations). Admission is based primarily on portfolio/audition/interview, or other course-specific additional requirements. Satisfactory completion of the high school qualification is still required. Fine Arts applicants must meet the English language requirements. Applicants must also satisfy the course-specific additional requirements, including submitting a supplementary application form – refer to the relevant Bachelor of Fine Arts page on Study for details.
3. Bachelor of Music. A range of criteria is used for selection into the Bachelor of Music (all majors). Admission is based primarily on audition, but satisfactory completion of the high school qualification is still required. Applicants must meet the English language requirements.
