Master of Urban Horticulture
A comprehensive program exploring the foundations of creating, managing and advocating for urban greening, the Master of Urban Horticulture is the only course of its kind in the southern hemisphere.
Why study urban horticulture?
We live in a world that’s increasingly urbanised. Our cities keep growing and our green spaces need to grow with them, to provide the social, environmental, economic and health benefits that greening cities bring. More than ever we need people who can design, interpret, manage and advocate for urban greening.
Our Programs
I’ve enjoyed seeing the connections made between councils, the private sector, green infrastructure research groups and the Traditional Custodians of the land. Observing plant traits at the Burnley campus – in the gardens, field stations and laboratory microscope work, specifically around drought tolerance of native tree species – is really interesting.
