Day-to-day experience
The MANP offers a flexible course delivery with a focus on strong leadership skills and networking. You are in control of the way you learn with flexible options to study both on campus and online. Many subjects can also be delivered as intensives, ideal for those on shift work.
You have the option to complete your degree with coursework or research, either on campus or online to suit your work schedule and preferences.
The course brings together nurses from a range of areas, enabling you to build a rich and diverse professional network, along with strong clinical partnerships.

Fatimah Abdul-Razak Futa
Fatimah Abdul-Razak Futa is a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Educator at the Royal Melbourne Hospital's Nursing Workforce Unit and Simulation Centre, specialising in critical care nursing within the ICU.
Fatimah has a strong foundation in nursing, she deepened her expertise by undertaking not just one, but three separate nursing qualifications at the University of Melbourne. Fatimah was able to undertake study, and graduate whilst also working, and looking after a family of four during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Fatimah completed her Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing in 2021, she credits this certificate with providing her specialised knowledge to better care for critically ill patients.
Fatimah went on to study her Master of Advanced Nursing Practice, and a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education in the same year. Throughout her master’s program, Fatimah delved into advanced concepts and leadership strategies, enabling her to transition seamlessly into leadership roles within the ICU and beyond. The program provided her with an "out of body" experience, empowering her to view healthcare challenges from a holistic perspective, not just as a nurse but as a leader and educator.
Her dedication to patient-centred care and continuous improvement led her to engage in quality improvement projects, directly applying her newfound knowledge to enhance healthcare delivery within her workplace. Additionally, she participated in a health leadership course, with the Melbourne Business School, further honing her skills and solidifying her potential as a leader in healthcare.
