Additional information
If you are assessed as not meeting the University of Melbourne equivalent entry score requirement for entry into the Master of International Business, a place in the wholly online Graduate Certificate in Business may be offered. Successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Business with a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70%, and no failed subjects, provides a guaranteed pathway into the 200-point Master of International Business. Advanced Standing for subjects completed in the Graduate Certificate in Business will be provided where the subjects undertaken align with equivalent foundation subjects to be completed as part of the Master of International Business.
If you discontinue from the Master of International Business but have successfully completed the requirements of the Graduate Certificate in International Business or the Graduate Diploma in International Business, you will be eligible to receive relevant award as an exit award.
Graduate Access Melbourne (GAM)
We encourage domestic students to explore eligibility for Graduate Access Melbourne (GAM). GAM offers an opportunity for admission to this course even if your tertiary marks are below the standard entry requirements. GAM applicants may also be considered for financial bursaries and Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) where available.
GAM categories include coming from a rural area, being an Indigenous Australian, experiencing financial hardship or personal difficulties, having refugee status, or living with a disability or medical condition. In assessing applications, we look to balance opportunity and your capacity to succeed.
Advanced Standing
If you have an undergraduate degree in business/commerce or a related discipline, you may be awarded up to 50 points of Advanced Standing.
