Profile
Rahul Khanna
I am a consultant psychiatrist at Austin Health and an educator at the University of Melbourne. I chose to study with the Clinical Leadership program to better empower me to address the systemic challenges and opportunities I saw on a daily basis in my clinical role.
I really enjoyed the collegiate and multidisciplinary atmosphere of the course. There was ample opportunity to exchange ideas with both other students and the educators who were all incredibly passionate and generous with their expertise. This was probably the best adult educational experience I had ever had. The faculty and guest speakers had an appreciation for the experience of the students and ensured that the content was enriching and to the point. It was, for want of a better term, 'lean', with no wasted time or unnecessary content.
The course and its assessments are all very action-orientated and practical, so I found myself using my new knowledge even before the program closed. I used my assignments to problem-solve work issues related to processes, patient flow and morale and the course allowed me to better develop and pitch my solutions to colleagues and organisational leaders.
