In the final year of the masters courses, candidates undertake a professional learning experience, deeply exploring an area of learning of their choice. This includes placements relevant to their chosen topic, which can be done in schools or early childhood centres as well as in non-education settings such as hospitals, museums, art galleries and more. This experience provides an opportunity for reflection and growth that aligns with the continuous professional learning approach in teaching practice.

Master of Teaching (Early Childhood)

This course prepares you to specialise in early years learning and development. You will receive an in-depth understanding of child learning and development, as well as professional practice in early childhood settings, preparing you to operate in multi-disciplinary fields involving care, education and health.

Master of Teaching (Early Childhood and Primary)

This course is for those seeking dual registration to teach in early childhood settings (0–5 years) and across all primary years (5–12 years) as a generalist teacher. Become a confident early childhood and primary teacher with unparalleled support throughout your studies and teacher placements.

Master of Teaching (Primary)

This course prepares graduates to teach across all primary years (5–12 years) as a qualified generalist teacher. You will obtain in-depth knowledge in literacy and numeracy, as well as build on your understanding in arts, health, physical education, wellbeing, science, humanities and languages.

Master of Teaching (Secondary)

This course prepares graduates for secondary teaching (12–18 years) in a wide range of curriculum areas and provides a qualification in two learning areas. You will develop the professional and leadership skills required to support learners of all abilities.

Master of Teaching (Secondary) Internship

Attain a world-class Master of Teaching qualification while getting paid to teach in a Victorian secondary school. Become part of a highly supported group of teachers, earning a salary and learning on the job while you study.

Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Teaching

This course qualifies graduates to teach in early childhood settings (0–5 years). Students will learn how to engage children to be contributing citizens by creating experiences that foreground Indigenous Worldviews and sustainability.
