For 2020 intake, Doctor of Physiotherapy Multi Mini Interviews (MMI) for local (domestic) students will be conducted online, via video conference. Shortlisted applicants will receive detailed information regarding the MMI, including interview times and interview link.
When will the interviews run?
The DPT MMIs for domestic students will run from week beginning 26 August. Shortlisted applicants will be notified mid-August and sent detailed information regarding the MMIs. Applicants will be asked to confirm acceptance of MMI offer and will be able to nominate preferred date/time. Preference requests will be taken into consideration, but we cannot guarantee that all requests will be accommodated.
The DPT MMIs will be run online via video conference. The interview component is an 8 station Multiple Mini Interview (MMI). Each station takes 5 minutes and has a single interviewer. The MMI aims to assess non-academic qualities including cultural sensitivity, maturity, collaboration, reliability and communication skills.
Shortlisted applicants will be sent a unique URL link to a virtual meeting room where they will be invited to join the interview. No account login is required, students are sent a link to interview.
The MMI will require students to be online for approximately 1 hour.
I have applied for both Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPT) and Doctor of Medicine (MD):
Students who have applied for both DPT and MD and are shortlisted for an interview for DPT, will undertake an online interview for DPT in late August. These interviews are separate and differ from the Doctor of Medicine. Students who have applied for the Doctor of Medicine (MD) will be contacted separately by the Melbourne Medical School.
Please ensure you have visited and read the entry requirements page and submitted your subjects for assessment if necessary.
If there is no evidence of satisfying the prerequisites, your application will not be assessed.
