After completing the Geoscience major in the Bachelor of Science, you’ll be well placed to move into the workforce, further study, or graduate research.

There is always strong demand for our Geoscience major graduates in the energy, mineral and environmental industries, in jobs including consulting, operations, research and mineral exploration.

Employers include Geoscience Australia, BHPCSIROShell and DELWP Victoria, state Geologic Surveys, as well as a range of municipal and private consulting opportunities and not-for-profit organisations.

Further study

You can complete an honours year in Geoscience as part of your Bachelor of Science, or you can immediately move into graduate studies.

GRADUATE DEGREES

If you wish to continue your studies at graduate level, this major is a great foundation for the Master of Science (Earth Sciences) and the Master of Geoscience.
