Overview

In the Graduate Certificate in TESOL, you’ll learn to analyse and gain understanding of the nature and form of language as a system. Over the course of your studies, you will also develop insight in how to critically evaluate and explain implications of acquiring a second language for learning and teaching. The course provides those brand-new to TESOL the ability to evaluate contemporary education issues in the field, allowing graduates to confidently contribute to local, national and global issues in TESOL education.

Study structure

The Graduate Certificate in TESOL is comprised of both supported teacher placement and face-to face learning. Entry points to the course are in both semester 1 and 2, designed to suit most schedules. For flexibility around professional or family commitments, we also offer the Graduate Certificate in TESOL on a part-time (1 year) or full-time (6 months) basis.
