Leading Change is designed for a diverse range of professionals seeking to develop their leadership ability and knowledge.

You might be an emerging leader, seeking to enhance your leadership capabilities to complement technical knowledge and expertise, or someone wanting to advance into more senior leadership positions across any sector or organisation.

The course is also suited more broadly to anyone wanting to build their competence, capability and confidence as they progress through various career stages and job changes.

There are no eligibility requirements.

This course will equip you with the leadership skills to navigate unique challenges and opportunities in Australia and globally.

It's been developed in consultation with leading professional services organisations, major business stakeholder organisations, and human resource management and organisational development practitioners.

It aligns with the Australian Human Resource Institute accreditation criteria and the Society for Human Resource Management certification.

By the end of this course, you'll have enhanced leadership skills and a deeper understanding of how to lead change in your organisation. You'll be able to:

• Apply models of leadership that support effective individuals and teams to adapt routines and behaviours that align with anticipated change outcomes
• Critically evaluate models of change and their implications for planning and implementing effective change processes
• Apply approaches of analysing organisational systems and capabilities to generate interventions that support organisational change and transformation
• Reflect upon strategies that may assist in overcoming barriers to internal organisational change, including leading and managing through disruptive events and crises.

This course runs over four weeks.

Your total time commitment is approximately 42 hours, which includes:

• 9 hours guided learning
• 13 hours private study, including discussion forums and readings
• 20 hours assessment tasks.

Assessment:

• A leadership development activity (60%)
• Short-answer questions to assess your leadership style (30%)
• Discussion forum and webinar participation (10%).

Once you've successfully completed this course, you will be awarded your Leading Change Melbourne MicroCert. This digital certificate will warrant the achievement of knowledge, skills and capabilities outlined in the learning outcomes. It may also include artefacts (such as videos and written material) related to both experiential and work-integrated learning, including translatable assessment that is practical to your professional life. You can also share your Melbourne MicroCert digitally and via social media by adding it to your personal platforms, such as LinkedIn. See example certificate.

Leading Change is part of the Adaptive Leadership series, which provides a pathway towards the subject  MGMT90264 Adaptive Leadership.

To use Leading Change this way, you need to complete all four micro-credentials from the Adaptive Leadership series, in any order you choose, and then apply for credit towards MGMT90264 Adaptive Leadership.

You can use the Managing Teams series in a similar way by completing all four micro-credentials in that series, in any order you choose, and then apply for credit towards the subject MGMT90265 Managing Teams.

It includes a combination of live webinars, online lectures, skills development exercises, case studies and scenarios, contemporary readings and resources, facilitated group discussions, and hands-on workplace interventions.

This micro-credential will expire after five years of issue as particular skills and/or knowledge may need to be refreshed.
