The Embodied Carbon Masterclass will equip you with new capabilities to help improve the environmental performance of construction projects. Professor Robert Crawford is a renowned expert and pioneer of embodied carbon assessment. He has broad research expertise in the built environment, sustainability, life cycle assessment and renewable energy.

Dr James Helal is an Assistant Dean and Lecturer in Sustainable Structural Design. His work centres on advancing design frameworks and developing software tools that integrate embodied carbon assessment into building design.

This Masterclass is a half-day, online, and non-assessed short course for professionals in the design, construction, and management of built assets. It is designed to rapidly equip learners with essential skills to assess the embodied carbon of the built environment.
