Interstate applications

Webinars are available for high school students across Australia and New Zealand to learn more about their study options, entry requirements and how to apply through VTAC.

Entry schemes and scholarships (formerly SEAS)

Access Melbourne takes students' personal circumstances into consideration alongside their VTAC course application and ATAR.

Support for Indigenous Australian students

We have a thriving, friendly community of over 500 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, supported by speciality programs including academic assistance and mentoring.

Graduate Degree Packages

Year 12 students can bundle an undergraduate degree offer with one of our graduate programs. Each Graduate Degree Package has it's own unique VTAC code, with domestic students eligible for CSP places for both degrees.

Equivalent subjects

If current or previous studies do not satisfy the published prerequisites for an undergraduate degree, equivalent subjects can be considered for entry.

For students who haven't met the direct entry requirements there are diplomas, foundation studies and supported programs to help them study with us.

Our comprehensive scholarship program is designed to help students build on their potential as they study.

Hansen Scholarship Program

Valued at over $100,000, this scholarship offers a fully-funded place to call home at Little Hall for three years. Alongside the close-knit residential community, tailored mentoring, extracurricular activities and focused financial support set Hansen Scholars up for success at Melbourne and beyond. Applications open in Term 1 for Year 12 students each year.

Narrm Scholarship Program

The Narrm Scholarship Program provides financial, academic, career and wellbeing support to eligible undergraduate students who apply through our equity entry scheme, Access Melbourne. Students will join a community of Narrm Scholars, receive a yearly living allowance and participate in enrichment program.

Melbourne Chancellor's Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to very high-achieving students in recognition of their outstanding academic achievement during their Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate (IB) undertaken in Australia. It provides undergraduate course fee exemptions and a guaranteed place in graduate course. Domestic students also receive a living allowance for up to three years.

Elite Athlete Program

This program recognises elite student-athletes with a range of in-kind support, flexible study assistance and financial aid and scholarships.

Accommodation scholarships and bursaries

There are a range of scholarship options available to students to support their stay in University of Melbourne accommodation.

Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars program

Supports academic enrichment and guidance in the transition from high school to university. For Victorian Year 11-12 (and select NSW/SA) students.

Extension Program

Enables high achieving Year 12 students the chance to earn an ATAR contribution by completing university subjects while still at school.

School outreach programs

Interactive workshops, activities, camps and summer schools for all secondary year levels designed to engage students in a range of disciplines.
