  • Applications for University Accommodation in 2023 will open on 1 August, 2022.

How to apply for University Accommodation

No travel, no stress.

Seems obvious right? Unfortunately there are a lot of accommodation deals out there with lock-in contracts. This means you may have to continue paying rent, even if you can’t travel to Melbourne.

If you apply for University Accommodation, you can secure a room now, without having to worry about things outside of your control. If travel restrictions make it impossible for you to travel to Melbourne, you have the ability to suspend your accommodation agreement. Conditions apply. Please remember to check your offer and agreement for full details.

Other options

Our Student Housing service can provide information and support to assist you with finding alternate housing options, such as private rentals. They can provide advice on your rights and responsibilities as a tenant, refer you to financial support if needed and provide transportation information.

Short stays

Pending availability, we may be able to cater your short-term stay. University Accommodation is a convenient choice for students visiting for conferences, looking for a place to stay over the holidays or wishing to arrive earlier than the semester starting dates. Register in our accommodation portal, submit an enquiry form and our team will be in contact with you if we have a vacancy.
